You might have previously talked to some agencies about getting in-home care. As our families have learned, the funding doesn’t go far when an agency gets involved!

You might not know that less than half of what you pay to an agency ends up in the hands of the person who does the work. Even with recent pay equity and pay parity cases, care providers are often barely paid more than minimum wage by agencies. This can mean that providers are too tired to provide the kind of care you expect even when you’re paying top dollar to their agency.

By linking directly with care providers, they get a much bigger chunk of what you pay. This means that what you pay will usually be less than what you’d pay through an agency. We don’t take a slice – meaning that you and your provider are both getting a fairer deal.

You get to choose your team

homecarelink puts you in control of your care choices. You check what providers are offering, and discuss your needs with them before your booking starts – making it easier to avoid misunderstandings. If a provider isn’t a great fit for you, you don’t have to rebook with them. There’s no risk of us just deciding who you get on any given day – the power is in your hands.

On homecarelink, you’ll be able to link with several local providers to make a care team that has you covered – when you need it, for what you need. You can book with basic care providers for things like help around the house, or with experienced and specialised providers for more complex needs, like showering and wound care.
